 USE OF IS ARE AND AM IN ENGLISH GRAMMAR AND EXAMPLES OF SIMPLE TENSE 

IS

 Is used with third singular person

Is also used in simple present tense

Example 

He is a man .

Aslam is good man

Is also used with present continuous tense

Example 

He is going to school.

Baby is weeping.

Aslam is singing a song.

Is also use in Passive voice  form of simple present tense

Active voice 

Aslam beats dog.

Passive voice

Dog is beaten by Aslam.

The student is helped by Lecturer. 

Am

Here we learn where am used?

Am is used with I in simple present tense and use in present continuous tense with I.

Example 

I am hungry.

I am alone.

I am busy.

I am not reading.

I am completing my work.
